Best Vegan Salted Caramel Tart

Enjoy the richness of this salted caramel tart that is vegan A delicious caramel filling sits on top of a crunchy almond-oat crust, making a great mix of tastes and textures. This dessert is perfect for any event and will please even the pickiest eaters.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 175F 350C

Grind the almonds and oats into a fine powder in a food processor

Put in the maple syrup and melted coconut oil

Pulse the food until it comes together

Spread the dough out evenly on the bottom and sides of a tart pan

Let the crust cool after baking for 10 to 12 minutes, until it turns a light golden color

Pitted dates, coconut cream, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt should all be mixed together in a saucepan

Over medium heat, stir the mixture all the time until it becomes smooth and caramel-like, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes

Spread the caramel filling out evenly in the tart shell that has been cooled

Put it in the fridge for at least two hours to set

Before you serve, sprinkle sea salt flakes on top
