This Mexican-style dish, Slow-Cooker Turkey Mole Street Tacos, is tasty and easy to make. Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can 14 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 small corn tortillas
  • Toppings: chopped cilantro, diced red onion, queso fresco, lime wedges

Instructions:

In a large skillet, cook ground turkey, onion, and garlic over medium heat until turkey is no longer pink; drain any excess fat

Transfer turkey mixture to a slow cooker

Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, peanut butter, cocoa powder, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper

Stir well to combine

Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until flavors are well blended and the mixture is heated through

Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable
