Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
Spices like garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl with buttermilk
Make sure the chicken breasts are fully covered when you add them to the buttermilk mixture
Put the mixture in the fridge for at least an hour or overnight
Add more salt and pepper to taste to the flour in a different bowl
Take the chicken out of the marinade and let the extra liquid drip off
Sprinkle the chicken breasts with the seasoned flour mixture and make sure they are covered all over
Put the vegetable oil in a big skillet and heat it over medium-high heat
Do not drop the chicken breasts into the hot oil without being careful
Fry for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked
Place the fried chicken on a plate with paper towels on it to soak up the extra oil
Serve hot, with your favorite dipping sauce on top or with your favorite side dishes
